I submitted my beadwork as a featured designer for the 2024 Toho Challenge back in March. It’s called “Circular Circulation,” reflecting my love of 60’s psychedelia, paisleys and day-glo colors. Circ Circ is a wall hanging, but here it is displayed on a plexi necklace frame, so that the Toho Team wouldn’t have to mess too much with display and getting it to hang perfectly:
The challenge has now moved with Toho into the 2024 Maker Fest Convention in Lancaster, PA. Some lucky attendees will receive starter kits and enjoy coming up with their own designs. But you don’t need the free kit to enter the challenge. You just need to know what Toho seed beads, Starman Czech Beads and Preciosa crystals to incorporate into your design. I like the over-the-top fun of finding ways to make as much stuff from the requirements work together as possible, and maybe in unexpected ways!
